What is treated here

Hair loss and AGA

For a receding hairline or thinning at the crown, finasteride and minoxidil, taken orally or applied topically, are prescribed after a consultation with the doctor. There is no consultation fee, and a three-month hair-growth trial is ¥18,000. The effect varies from person to person.

ED treatment

For difficulty obtaining or keeping an erection, sildenafil, tadalafil and vardenafil are available. Sildenafil 50mg starts at ¥880 per tablet, and there is no consultation fee where ten or more tablets are prescribed. The clinic is open until 21:00 on weekdays so that you can call in after work.

Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections

Testing covers gonorrhoea and chlamydia, including at the throat, as well as syphilis and hepatitis. A combined test for gonorrhoea and chlamydia is ¥12,800 and can be carried out the same day. The result is sent by LINE, in as little as two working days, and treatment can begin that day where an infection is confirmed.

Medical laser hair removal for men

Laser hair removal is available for the beard, the VIO area and the whole body, using the GentleLASE Pro. Sessions are spaced about a month apart. A first trial covering three beard areas is ¥6,800, and a single session afterwards is ¥9,800. The aim of the treatment is a reduction in hair.

Vitamin drips and injections

For tiredness that does not lift, or a hangover that will not clear, vitamin and placenta injections and drips are available. They take very little time, so they suit a lunch break or the journey home.

Dermapen 4 microneedling

For the uneven texture left by acne scarring, enlarged pores and general skin quality. Very fine channels are made in the skin to encourage it to repair itself. How many sessions are needed depends on the condition of your skin, which the doctor assesses first.

Botulinum toxin injections

For expression lines between the brows and at the corners of the eyes, a square jawline, excessive sweating and hay fever. Which areas can be treated is decided by the doctor at the consultation.

Medically supervised weight loss

Support for reducing weight under a doctor’s supervision, for men whose weight does not fall through diet and exercise alone. Whether it is suitable, and how it would proceed, is decided at the consultation.

Hair loss, ED and sexually transmitted infections can also be dealt with by online consultation if attending in person is difficult.

Coming as an English speaker

You can be seen here without speaking Japanese. There is no English-speaking doctor at the clinic: the consultation is handled with a translation app and a written intake form, which is usually enough for the doctor to decide on treatment. You are welcome to bring a Japanese-speaking companion or your own interpreter.

Getting to the clinic

The clinic is a one-minute walk from JR Shimbashi Station. From the Ginza exit, cross to the pavement on the side of the Big Echo karaoke building, keep Big Echo on your left and walk straight ahead. Cross at the pedestrian crossing, continue past the udon restaurant, follow the curve in the road, go up the short flight of steps and take the lift to the seventh floor of the Maruchu Building.

From exit 1 of Shimbashi Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza line, come up to street level and walk straight ahead, crossing at the pedestrian crossing, then follow the same route.

Coming by other lines

Shimbashi Station is served by five lines. The Toei Asakusa line and the Yurikamome both stop at Shimbashi and are within walking distance, so the clinic is straightforward to reach from most parts of Tokyo.

Coming from Shiodome, Ginza or Toranomon

The Shiodome office district is within walking distance. Ginza, Toranomon and Kasumigaseki are one or two stops from Shimbashi. If you are coming from the Karasumori side, head for Shimbashi Station and follow the directions above.

Coming after work

The clinic is open until 21:00 on weekdays. First visits are received until 30 minutes before closing, follow-up visits until 10 minutes before. It is also open from 10:00 to 18:00 at weekends and on public holidays, which helps if weekday appointments are difficult.
