Men’s Care Clinic treats men only. The Shimbashi clinic is a one-minute walk from JR Shimbashi Station. Pay-per-session laser hair removal means you pay for each treatment on the day, with no course contract. People come to us with concerns like these.
Pay-per-session means you are charged for one treatment at a time, on the day you receive it, instead of buying a course in advance. We offer this in two forms: set-based sessions (for example the whole beard, or VIO as a group) and single-area treatment, where you can choose from one area upwards.
Medical laser hair removal is carried out over several sessions timed to the hair growth cycle. It is not completed in a single visit, and the aim is hair reduction rather than permanent removal. How results appear varies from person to person.
The clinic uses the Gentle LASE Pro, a medical laser device suited to the thicker hair typical of men. It is installed at the Shimbashi clinic.
| Pay-per-session | 5-session course | |
|---|---|---|
| When you pay | On the day, each time you attend | In full at the time of contract (instalments available) |
| Cost per session | Higher than a course | Lower per session |
| If you want to stop | Simply do not book the next one | A cancellation procedure is required |
| Changing areas | You choose the areas on the day, each time | The areas fixed in the contract apply |
| Who it suits | Trying it first, narrowing to a few areas, an unpredictable schedule | Continuing with the same areas |
If you expect to continue with the same areas, a course works out cheaper overall because the per-session price is lower. If you have not decided yet, you can take a single pay-per-session treatment first and then choose. Course prices are set out on the medical laser hair removal page.
| Group | Price per area (tax incl.) | Areas you can choose |
|---|---|---|
| Beard | ¥2,980 | upper lip, chin, under chin, cheeks, sideburns |
| Around the face | ¥4,980 | forehead, hairline, both ears, eyebrows, nose and nostrils |
| Neck | ¥6,980 | front of neck, nape |
| VIO | ¥5,980 | V line, V sides, scrotum, penis, I line, O line |
| Torso | ¥6,980 | both shoulders, both underarms, chest, abdomen, back, lower back |
| Arms | ¥5,980 | upper arm (one side), forearm (one side), both hands |
| Legs | ¥5,980 | thigh (one side, front or back), buttocks, both knees, below knee (one side, front or back), both feet |
These are campaign prices. Because you can choose from one area upwards, you can limit treatment to the places that concern you. Please raise any combination you have in mind at the consultation.
| Set | Price per session (tax incl.) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Beard, 3 areas | ¥9,800 | upper lip, chin, under chin |
| Whole beard | ¥13,000 | — |
| VIO | ¥23,800 | — |
| Arms | ¥19,800 | — |
| Torso, back, shoulders and underarms | ¥36,800 | — |
| Legs | ¥36,800 | — |
| Whole body | ¥69,000 | — |
Sets are better value if you are treating several areas together. If you are considering the beard only, see the beard laser hair removal page as well.
| Area | What tends to happen |
|---|---|
| Beard | Hair is thick and densely grown, so it tends to need more sessions than other areas |
| VIO | Hair type and density vary widely between individuals |
| Arms and legs | Areas where change is often noticed comparatively readily |
| Torso and back | Those with finer hair sometimes need fewer sessions |
Sessions are usually spaced about a month apart. The number needed depends on the amount and type of hair and on the area, so the doctor will advise on the likely course at the consultation. With pay-per-session treatment you decide each time, in the light of how things are going, whether to book another.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Anaesthetic | Whole face ¥3,000 / VIO ¥3,000. Please book anaesthetic in advance. You apply it yourself, and treatment begins after that. An additional charge applies if you want more than the standard amount. |
| Treatment time | A time limit is set for each area. If pain makes treatment impracticable, or would cause a substantial overrun, we may decline to treat that area without anaesthetic. |
| Shaving | Please shave yourself beforehand. If we shave for you, a charge of ¥3,000 per area applies. Where insufficient shaving makes treatment impossible, that area cannot be re-treated later in the same session. |
| Arriving late | If lateness delays the start, we treat only within the remaining time. The full price of the booked menu is charged, or one session of a course is counted as used. |
Whether the treatment can be carried out is decided by the doctor at the consultation. Please ask the doctor about anything that is unclear.
Men’s Care Clinic Shimbashi is a one-minute walk from JR Shimbashi Station. The clinic treats men only. Consulting hours are 14:00–21:00 on weekdays and 10:00–18:00 at weekends and on public holidays. First-time patients are received until 30 minutes before closing, and returning patients until 10 minutes before. Appointments can be made through LINE or the website, and same-day slots are sometimes available.
Cash, and VISA, JCB, Mastercard, American Express and Diners Club credit cards and debit cards.
Cancellations and changes made three days in advance are free. Two days to one day in advance are charged at 75%, and same-day cancellations at 100%. For course bookings, a cancellation counts as one session used.
Sensation varies between individuals, but it feels like being flicked with a rubber band.
This varies between individuals, but it subsides within one to two days at most.
If you expect to continue with the same areas, a course brings the total down because the per-session price is lower. If you have not yet decided whether to continue, you can take one pay-per-session treatment and judge from there.
By set: beard three areas ¥9,800, whole beard ¥13,000, VIO ¥23,800, arms ¥19,800, whole body ¥69,000. By single area: one beard area ¥2,980, one VIO area ¥5,980, one torso area ¥6,980.

No. The treatment is entirely self-pay and no health insurance is used, so no notice of medical expenses is sent to your home or your workplace. The clinic treats men only.
Yes. Please tell us what you have in mind.
Please stop using tweezers or waxing. The laser reacts to dark pigment, so if no dark hair remains in the follicle the treatment cannot work.
Treated hairs are shed naturally over about two weeks. Shave with a razor during that period and do not pull the hairs out.
Very occasionally folliculitis occurs as a complication. It resembles acne and can itch. Do not scratch it; keep the skin clean and it will settle without scarring. If you are concerned, we can prescribe an ointment.
The laser reacts to dark things, so it reacts to moles as well. A mole may darken temporarily and then fade or disappear. We can also treat around a mole; please discuss it with us.
